 A 49-year-old resident of Hawaeliya area of ​​Nuwara Eliya has entered the Gardwatta Reserve to search for firewood and his relatives have complained to the Nuwara Eliya Police Station as he has not returned to his home.

The Nuwara Eliya Police, the Army and the local residents have launched an operation to find the missing person in the reserve, where a coat and a pair of shoes suspected to belong to the missing person have been found.

The Nuwara Eliya Police stated that the missing person has not been found yet and the search operations will continue with the help of official dogs.
