The Department of Meteorology says that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in the eastern and Uva province during the afternoon or night. The Department of Meteorology announced that there may be some few rain in the morning in the coastal areas of the Western Provinces and in the coastal areas of Galle and Matara districts. They urge the people to take measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur during thunderstorms.
